This 46-acre shopping center’s central design theme focused on the pedestrians’ use of the center. Way-finding icons were used throughout the center. Enhanced paving routes of travel, pedestrian kiosks, landscaped nodes and trellised arcades were used to provide a unique pedestrian experience throughout the shopping center.
The architectural and landscape design themes were derived from classic and contemporary California vernacular––clean simple lines, tile roofs, tile pavers, palm-lined entries and colorful subtropical plants were used to emphasize the design theme. |
