Camino Del Sur has approximately 1.5 miles of roadway, with landscaped parkways and medians, connecting Carmel Valley Road and State Route 56. The roadway serves residential neighborhoods, commercial facilities and Westview High School. Our team designed the parkways to have wide sidewalks with equestrian-style fencing, and used plant materials to create a pedestrian-friendly feeling along the frequently traveled roadway. The median landscaping, which assists in “traffic calming” through the use of trees and shrubs, is designed to consider future widening of the roadway while preserving the trees and shrubs in place. |
